WHERE THE LEAF BEGINS

It begins with young green leaves.

We grow young barley, wheat and oat leaves on our farm in Bridesville, British Columbia.

They are harvested while still young, before grain formation. The leaf itself is the starting ingredient — not a powder and not a conventional tea leaf.

One farm. One distinctive starting point.

THE PROCESS SHAPES THE CHARACTER

One leaf. Several ways to shape it.

Depending on the style we are creating, the leaves may be withered, rolled, heat-fixed, oxidized or moved through a combination of these stages.

FROM FIELD TO FINISHED LEAF

Processed where it is grown.

Our processing facility sits on the same British Columbia farm where the leaves are grown.

From harvest through drying, sizing, classification, blending and packaging, the process stays closely connected.

03

Craft

Depending on the style, leaves may be withered, rolled, heat-fixed, oxidized or moved through a combination of these stages.

04

Dry

The crafted leaves are dried at low temperature to remove moisture while limiting unnecessary heat exposure.

05

Finish

The dried leaf is sized, classified and sorted, then blended with herbs, flowers, fruit or spices where the recipe calls for them before packaging.

These different processing paths allow us to create green-, oolong- and black-style expressions from young barley, wheat and oat leaves.

THE FINISHED LEAF

You can still see what it came from.

Tea’d Greens isn't a greens powder. The finished dry product remains a recognizable dried leaf, sized and blended for infusion.

Add water and the preparation feels familiar. The difference is the leaf.
