A Simple Guide to Using Your Steep Buddy

Set Up:
Place your Steep Buddy on the tea tray. Ensure it's in a spot where it can easily catch overflow water or tea.

Warm Up:
Before starting your tea session, pour some warm water over your Steep Buddy to ‘wake’ it up. This helps to heat it slightly.

Steep Your Tea:
Brew your tea as usual in a teapot.

Share Your Tea:
After steeping your tea, gently pour some of the tea over the Steep Buddy. This can be the first pour, which is often used to rinse the leaves, or any subsequent pour, depending on your preference.

Observe Changes:
Watch as your Steep Buddy absorbs the tea. Some tea pets change color or appear to sweat as they absorb the hot tea, adding a fun, interactive element to your tea experience.

Repeat:
With each tea session, continue sharing some tea with your Steep Buddy. Over time, it will develop a unique patina from the tea oils, enhancing its appearance.

Clean Up:
After your tea session, rinse your Steep Buddy with clean water and pat it dry. Avoid using soap as it can interfere with the natural patina that develops.

I’m really enjoying all three teas. This may sound a bit strange, I find the taste very calming and soothing. I enjoy the Green tea in the morning, the Serene Green at night, and Scarlet is refreshing for the day.
