The material

Our sachet mesh is manufactured for us from corn-derived, plant-based PLA. It is not nylon.

What has been tested

The supplier documentation we hold includes a third-party laboratory report recording passing results for the food-contact tests listed in that report. Those tests do not evaluate microplastic shedding during brewing.

What we do on our farm

We form, fill and seal each sachet at our farm in Bridesville, British Columbia. Keeping this stage in-house gives us direct control over filling, sealing and production traceability.

What we do not claim: We do not describe our sachets as plastic-free or guarantee that they are microplastic-free. PLA is a polymer, and the documentation we currently hold does not test for microplastic shedding. We would rather state clearly what has been tested and what has not.
